ABOUT US
Michael started dancing at his family dance school 'Surrey Hills Dance Centre' at the age of 5, and worked his way up through the ISTD medal system before deciding to compete at the age of 10. Nika is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine and started dancing at the age of 12 competing with 'Shans' dance club. We both had previous international success before dancing together.
Michael & Nika started dancing together in March 2013 and had an immensely successful Youth (Under 21) career, winning the following prestigious titles:
• United Kingdom Closed Youth Ballroom Champions
• Galaxy Imperial Youth Ballroom Champions
• Europa Imperial Youth Ballroom Champions
• Embassy Ball Youth Ballroom Champions
• WDC World Youth Ballroom Champions
• British National Youth Ballroom Champions
• British Open Youth Ballroom Champions
as well as being awarded the prestigious 'Young Dancer of the Year Award' in 2015. In the Amateur category we were regular quarterfinalists in all three 'majors' (UK Open, International & British Open Championships), as well as multiple-time National, European and Star Ball finalists.
We turned Professional in July 2022 and on our competitive debut were crowned United Kingdom Closed Professional 10-Dance Champions. We obtained our Licentiate Professional teaching qualifications with the UKA at the end of 2022 and are registered Championship Adjudicators.
We got married in August 2017 and currently live together with our dog Lola in West Sussex. Nika graduated with a 1st in BSc (Hons) in Business Management at Kingston University in Summer 2018 and Michael completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Surrey in Autumn 2020.

PRIVATE LESSONS
WEDDING FIRST DANCE
We offer private lessons for all grades, ages and standards and happy to work with both couples and individuals
We work with couples to create a beautiful routine that runs smoothly and fits your favourite song for your first dance together
ADJUDICATING
We are both registered as Championship Adjudicators with the British Dance Council and International Adjudicators with the World Dance Organisation
SHOW DEMONSTRATIONS
CLASSES
We offer both Ballroom and Latin show demonstrations and have performed at birthdays, corporate and social events as well as many other occasions
We teach a number of classes at SHDC and are also the head coaches of the University of Surrey Ballroom & Latin Dance Club
PHOTO SHOOTS
We are available to model for any style of photo shoot, from casual to promotional purposes and have worked with artists, photographers and apparel companies
